The practice lab is an add-on that can be attached to any Revelrex course, not a standalone course. It is where theory turns into competence. You and your cohort operate a synthetic practice inside the Revelrex training EHR. Simulated payers adjudicate your claims, the clearinghouse rejects what is malformed, denials arrive with realistic reasons, and an instructor injects the problems practices actually face: a payer changes a policy, a provider stops signing notes, eligibility fails for a whole plan. Every action is scored and reviewed.
Who this course is for
Trainees who have learned the theory and need supervised practice before their first role, and experienced staff cross-training into a new RCM function.

Course content
1Weeks 1 to 2: Front end and encounters
- Simulated patient registration and eligibility verification
- Encounter review and documentation checks
- Coding exercises with quality review
2Weeks 3 to 4: Claims and responses
- Claim preparation and submission simulation
- Clearinghouse rejection scenarios
- Payer denial scenarios and appeals
3Weeks 5 to 6: Money and problems
- Payment posting exercises from simulated remittances
- AR follow-up scenarios and patient balances
- Practice-action scenarios: fixing the process, not just the claim
- Workflow problem solving and the final simulation week
Practical component
The entire course is practical. Roughly 40 hours of scored simulation work with instructor review.
Assessment
Scored simulation weeks plus a final full-cycle simulation graded against a rubric. Pass mark 75%.
Completion
Complete all lab sessions and pass the final simulation. A Revelrex certificate of completion is issued.
